Pastor Gene Koker served as the National Missions Director during the 1990s; it was he who sent Pastor Bruce Conran to rebuild the Sheffield Association—an organization originally established in 1948 that had subsequently experienced a gradual decline. Pastor Koker later went on to serve as the Senior Pastor at Otter Creek Church in Boonville, Indiana, for over 25 years, until his recent retirement in 2026
